The book 'Smritika Jwarbhataharu' written by Bamdev Khanal, an old resident of Narayangadh and former people's representative, was launched on Saturday. The book was made public in a program organized by Chitwan Sahitya Parishad (Chisap) on the occasion of 160th birth anniversary.
Khanal is the younger son of Kalidas Khanal who was the landlord of Narayangadh in 1990. In the local elections of 2049, Vamdev was elected as the chairman of then Bharatpur municipality ward number 4. Ward number 4 of Savik includes most of the area of Narayangadh.
Khanal has written in the book about the old condition of Narayangadh, the role he played as a public representative, the old public representatives and people associated with Narayangadh. In addition, he has also included in the book the experiences he gathered while traveling outside Chitwan. Earlier, Khanal's book 'Vamdev Khanal in the eyes of creators and well-wishers', which also includes the old incidents of Narayangadh, was published.
Chisap Rajakrishna Mayadevi Award for the novel Dheemahika was awarded to writer Jairam Timilsina and Chisap Madhav Khanal Literary Award to writer Subhas Ghimire for the novel Sandaju. The amount of both awards is 35 thousand 45 rupees. The chief guest of the award distribution and book distribution program was Shri Bhakta Achyut Wagle, former president of CHISAP.
