On the occasion of the 10th Annual General Meeting of Children's Literature and Research Center on Saturday, the book was jointly released by Center President Wagle, General Secretary Shanti Sapkota, Chairman Srijan Sharma, Children's Literature Society President Vijayraj Acharya, leading authors of children's literature Prof. Dr. Chudamani Bandhu, KK Karmacharya, Pramod Pradhan and others. This book, published by Children's Literature and Research Center under the Heroine Movement program, contains the success stories of five daughters who climbed the ladder of success through struggle in life. In the book, the life stories of marathon runner Mira Rai, IT engineer Sriti Shrestha, third gender activist Pinky Gurung, singer Abhay Subba and younger educationist Rit Kafle are briefly presented.
author Wagle said that the book can become an inspiring material for the new generation and expressed his gratitude to Bette Andrianse, an activist from the Netherlands who provided financial and technical support for the publication of the book, Heroine Abhiyan Nepal, illustrator Krisha Tamrakar who illustrated the book, all the leading creators of children's literature and all the working committee members of the center. He said, "This book, which contains the success stories of five Nepali girls who worked hard to reach their goals, will be a motivational resource for the new generation."
Neel Hira society president Gurung, singer Subba, younger education worker Kafle expressed their happiness by thanking the author Wagle and the center for bringing the success of girls to the fore. Gurung discussed the presence of gender and sexual minority communities even during the Ram Rajya period and said that the community finally got an opportunity to establish its identity in the Kali Yuga. She said that an organizer like Wagle helped to establish it further. Similarly, singer Subba opined that Vagal has done a very commendable job when the presence and work of women are always in the shadows in the patriarchal system.
On Saturday itself, the center has formed a three-member board of directors including Pramod Pradhan and Prof. Dr. Taranidhi Bhattarai and has selected a new working committee.
Manju Gyawali as the vice president, Shanti Sapkota as the general secretary, Sanjog Thakuri as the secretary and Manoj Kumar Shrestha as the treasurer have been elected in the new working committee chaired by Wagle. Similarly, Netra Tamang, Rabindra Manandhar, Sushila Tamang and Hikmat Dahal were elected as members. This is Wagle's second term at the center.
