Ram Bikram Thapa has been awarded with Shahid Manoj Joshi Pratibha Award. On the occasion of the 34th Manoj Jhapendra Surendra Memorial Day, the award was given on 15th July with cash of ten thousand.

President of Manoj Smriti Pratishthan Kumar Acharya said that Thapa, who also participated in the 2048 employee movement, was awarded for his contribution to education, art, literature, culture and social sectors. 

Martyr Manoj Joshi was martyred by police firing on 15 July 2048 during the employee agitation. The government had declared Joshi a martyr on 22 January 2074. "He has been awarded for his contribution to education, art, literature, culture and social sector," said Acharya, "He was also a participant in the employee movement."

On the occasion of Martyr Manoj Jhapendra Surendra Memorial Day, fruit trees were planted at Diktel Multipurpose Campus, sanitation at Manoj Marg and fruits were distributed to patients undergoing treatment at District Hospital Diktel.

Manoj Smriti Prasthian, Nepal Civil Service Organization and Nepal National Employees Organization Civil Khotang jointly organized the tribute meeting, the head of District Coordination Committee Khotang San Bahadur Rai, former MP Kul Prasad Phuyal, leaders and representatives of political parties, heads and representatives of professional organizations, employees and others were present.
