The Nepali language book 'Lhakmah Lumbhumi' (Dafa Music) written by Vipu Shrestha was released on Saturday.
The book was released during a program in Mahalakshmi Municipality-8, Lubhu Lachi. Dafa is a classical music based on various ragas and rhythms. Dafa music has historical significance in the Newari community and culture.
The book written in 26 genres can be easily understood and learned by students who want to learn Dafa music, author Shrestha said. He said that it is his duty to hand over the music composed and handed down by his ancestors to the new generation.
Most of the places in the three districts of the valley, the custom of singing Dafa bhajan is disappearing . It takes a lot of effort to learn Dafa.
Newa: Ram Bahadur Shrestha, chairman of the Cultural Protection Committee of Lubhu, expressed his belief that this book will help the new generation to learn about the traditional Dafa music of Nepal and to preserve and pass on the Dafa culture and language to future generations.
