Poet Umesh Akinchan's new poetry collection 'Sayed Kinararu' has been launched in Kathmandu on Saturday. Defense Minister Manveer Rai, poets Shravan Mukarung, Ramesh Kshijit, Vimala Tumkheva, actor Jeevan Luintel and critic Rajkumar Baniyan released the collection of poems.
The speakers said that poet Umesh's poems are present in the field of Nepali poetry with new images, expressions and styles. "Poet Akinchan's poetry has been enriched with poetic feeling," Shravan Mukarung said, "Poetry is not confined to any idea, because poetry is an invention. Akinchan has invented new images, feelings and worlds in poetry.'
Mukarung also said that current poetry has started to be written in free verse. Reminiscing the history of poetry, Mukarung said, 'The time has come for poets to create their own image and poets should also exercise intellectually in poetry, only then can the scope of knowledge of both poets and readers be widened.' "Akinchan's poems are in serious dialogue with time," Tumkheva said, "The images of his poems are new, practical, effective, gentle and graceful." The poet has also written the world environment of his time in poetry.'
Minister Manveer Rai said that poetry and poets play a serious role in the transformation of society . "Poets walk with a revolutionary idea that they are not only themselves but also aware of the society", he said, "Poets and writers have contributed to bring the country in the right direction since history." Poet and poetry provide direction and support to the society. Rai also said that if he had not joined politics, he would have wanted to become a folk singer. In the
program, poets Dr. Smita Shrestha and Rima KC also recited one poem each from Akinchan's collection of poems 'Sayed Kinararu'. Ramesh Kshitij has written in 'Sayad Kinararu', 'His poems which are full of touching images and communicate in a calm language, provide infinite coolness to the reader's heart and bring spiritual peace.' In the
book, Rajkumar Baniyan has written a long story focusing on his friendship with Akinchan and his poetry. "My poet friend has put many new images and laughs on the edge of the poem. Those outer butta and inner butta have given life and life to the poem,' wrote Baniyan.
'Sayed Kinararu' is the third poem of Akinchan. The price of the book published by Indigo Inc is 549 rupees.
