A book on Nepal-China relations ”70 years of harmonious relations”

A book has been published about the relationship between Nepal and the People's Republic of China. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, a book titled '70 years of smooth relations' was published.

The book discusses the visit to China from Raja Mahendra to Tank Prasad Acharya (the first Nepali Prime Minister to visit China). References to Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Nepal are also mentioned.

The main events from the beginning of the establishment of diplomatic relations to the last are included in the book. The talks between the representatives of both countries to establish diplomatic relations between the two countries, China's support in the establishment of Nepal Rastra Bank, and exchange of visits have been given importance in the book.

Diplomatic relations were established between Nepal and China on August 1, 1955. The coming 17th of July marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire has expressed his best wishes in the

book. Through the book, he has discussed the strong expression of deep friendship and trust between Nepal and China over the past seven decades. 

He recalled that the journey of friendship started by princess Bhrikuti and artist Araniko in ancient times has reached a new height in today's modern era. After the establishment of formal diplomatic relations, Ghimire recalled that the political, economic, social and development partnership between Nepal and China is expanding based on mutual trust, cooperation and understanding.

China's ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, has given a message of congratulations on the publication of the book "70 years of harmonious relations". He mentioned that this book not only witnessed major milestones in the diplomatic relations of the two countries but also vividly covered economic cooperation, cultural exchange, religious, educational interaction etc. . 

China and Nepal, two friendly neighbors connected by the Himalayas, have maintained the principles of mutual respect, equality and win-win cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1955, and have created a remarkable epic of enduring friendship that transcends borders and time. Song has also mentioned that he is ready to increase the scope under the coordination of the national strategy between the two countries.  Explaining the rationale behind publishing a

book  Nepal-China Media Forum's  President Kishore Shrestha has written that an attempt has been made to cover the sweet moments of the diplomatic relations between Nepal and China.  'Whenever the subject of geography comes up, the matter of neighboring signs is connected and automatically searched for - cooperation, coordination, harmony, virtue and good faith.' Through this book, we are going to remember the various dimensions of Nepal-China relations and the sweet moments of 70 years," said Shrestha about the book.  

This book, published in both Nepali and Chinese languages, discusses the multifaceted friendly relations between the two countries. The book contains 12 topics, including Chairman Shrestha's feelings on the relationship between the two countries, the historical moment of the establishment of diplomatic relations, China's support in the establishment of the Nepal Rashtra Bank, the past to the present between Nepal and China, the multifaceted relations between the two countries, the changed language, cultural relations, the series of relations during the Cold War, the post-monarchy period in Nepal. Continuity of relations, Nepal-China modern economic relations and  The Xi Jinping era and the deepening of relations between the two countries have been discussed in depth.

There are plans to release the book during a special ceremony on August 1 (July 16), when diplomatic relations between Nepal and China are formally established. The book is published by Nepal-China Media Forum.
