Musician, singer and writer Hiranya Bhojpure's novel 'Ang Sherpa and Ocean of Heights' has been published in English. The book was released in Colorado, USA.

Poet Yuyutsu RD Sharma, writer Bhojpuri's wife Urmila Shrestha and others jointly released the book. Recently, the release program was dedicated to the memory of the late musician, singer and writer Ganesh Rasik . Poet Sharma praised the novel for raising the unheard voice of local mountaineers. He said, 'Ang Sherpa is a powerful and long awaited novel .'

Author Bhojpure sheds light on the hero of the novel, Ang Chhatre Sherpa, and shares his story . The novel vividly portrays the life of Ang Chhatre, a resident of Pangboche village located in the lap of Mount Everest. Although Bhojpure never reached Lukla, his novel presents Lukla, Everest Base Camp, South Col and Everest's summit with literary precision.  In the novel, Aang successfully climbs Mount Everest ten times. However, after the dramatic incident at South Col, he was banned from climbing and deported to Australia. The story presents his internal journey of exile, return to Nepal and dealing with life away from the world's highest peak in a poignant and humane style.

Born in Deurali, Bhojpur, Bhojpuri is a founding member of the local music movement in the 1960s. He has created folk, modern and experimental songs. Translated by poet Bhuvan Thapalia, this novel of his is published by Nirala Publications, New Delhi.
