Economic analyst and author Manikar Karki's new book 'Artha Drishti: Artha-Politik of Underdevelopment' was discussed in Butwal on Saturday.
Speaking in the discussion, General Secretary of CPN United Socialist Ghanshyam Bhusal said that economic politics is necessary for the transformation of society. "The book covers all the economic and political topics of Nepal," he said, "from politicians to students, the book has become useful."
Indra Kafle, Controller of Examinations of Lumbini Buddhist University, said that the book was written based on facts after studying history deeply. He said that policy makers and politicians should study this book.
Professor Vishnu Joshi of Lumbini Commerce Campus said that the book emphasizes the need to link economics with politics. She mentioned about all the problems of the economy from the reasons behind Nepal's backwardness.
Butwal versatile campus professor Dr. Sanjay Kumar Karan said that the book has been written in such a way as to pull the reader from the beginning to the end. He said that since the entire economy and economic politics are mentioned in the book, it will be beneficial for everyone to study it.
