Economist Butler's 'Economic Inequality' published in Nepali

It is said that most of the physical and financial wealth in the world is in the hands of a few rich people. In Europe, the richest 10 percent own more than 60 percent of the total wealth. This number is about 70 percent in North America, South and Southeast Asia, while in Russia, Central Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America, that number is more than 70 percent. According to the United Nations, the richest 10% of the world have uninterrupted control of 76% of the world's wealth.

British economist Eamon Butler has discussed many such facts and various interpretations of economics in his book 'An Introduction to Economic Inequality'. Which has just been translated and published in Nepali language by We Read in collaboration with Samriddhi Foundation, the translator is Biplav Prateek . The Nepali name of the book is 'Economic Inequality: An Introduction'.

The book also discusses how inequality in income affects economic development and how economic development leads to equality. Similarly, comments and debates on inequality, questions raised on income measurement, policy and political influence of equality, progressive tax system, international comparison, arguments and theories of various economists, equal wages in the office and gender gap have also been raised. This book, translated in short and simple language, can become a new perspective in the debate on economic inequality. The book has been published by We Read in collaboration with Samriddhi Foundation.

Author Eamonn Butler is a British economist . He is co-founder and director of the Adam Smith Institute, the UK's leading think tank on market economic policy. He has a master's degree in economics and psychology from St. Andrew's University and also completed his graduation from the same university. In 2012, he received an Honorary Doctorate in Literature from Heriot-Watt University.

Butler has published more than 30 books under various titles. He has published books on the ideas of Adam Smith, Milton Friedman, FA Hayek and Ludwig van Mises. There is also an introductory book on classical liberalism, popular demand, capitalism, democracy, business, the Austrian school of economics and great liberal thinkers. He is the author of many books like 'The Condensed Wealth of Nations' and 'The Best Book on the Market'.
