Two-day Thumke Literary Festival organized by Maijogmai Rural Municipality and Thumke Literary Group has been completed.
Various programs of Raithane culture and literature were included in the festival covering various aspects of literature, culture and society at various places in Nayabazar, the center of Maijogmai Rural Municipality of Ilam. The festival, which was conducted with the support of the chief management of Amar Kalyan Model Secondary School, Nayabazaar, included various musical and cultural performances including poetry festival, tea talk, art talk, book talk, book launch, creation of sunrise.

Another event titled 'Visual-Unseen Stories of Tea Bars' had a dialogue between tea worker Asmita Sherpa, local tea entrepreneur Subodh Paudel and producer Gyan Bahadur Dhakal. The story of tea production, processing, marketing, labor and workers was presented in the session facilitated by journalist Bhim Chapagai.
Another event was started with Suryoday creation at Thumkerani, a major tourist spot . Along with poetry presentation by Raithane and guest poets, the purpose of creation of Suryodaya was narrated by observing the environment and nature of this area. The senior singers of the eastern region Dharani Gautam, Raviman Lamjel, Tika Ghimire, Prakash Thamsuhang, Diwakar Bhandari, Indra Narayan Subedi and other authors recited poems and senior singers Devi Gautam, Bhupendra Rai, Vrish Pradhan and Kamal Aryal and others presented singing .
