The poetry of Shambhu Nishabd, a young poet of Solududhakunda municipality-11, won the first place in the grand poetry conference and district level poetry competition organized by Thulung Dudhkoshi Pragya-Pratishtana of Solukhumbu.

Among the 62 contestants who participated in the competition from various places in the district, Lekhnath Katel's poem from Nechasalyan came second and Nirmala Basnet's poem from Tinla came third. Likewise, Vinita Basnet and Lakshmi Kafle jointly got the fourth place. Municipal President Asim Rai gave cash prizes to the winners along with certificates. While distributing the awards, President Rai said that for the first time in the district, the local level has promoted the literature and art sector by forming Pragya-Pratishthan.

The first runner-up Shambhu Nishabd received Rs 30,000, the second runner-up Lekhnath Katte received Rs 20,000, the third runner-up Nirmala Basnet received Rs 15,000, and the fourth runner-up received Rs 5,000 each. According to the coordinator of the foundation, Subas Sangam Rai, the program was organized with the aim of encouraging literary creation. Poet Shravan Mukarung, writer Dr. Renuka Solu, poets Swapnil Smriti and Sozho villager gave their performances.
