Analyst, researcher and author Manikar Karki's new book 'Artha Drishti: Alpvikasko Artha-Politik' has come out in the market. Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr. Vishwa Paudel, former minister and UML leader Surendra Pandey, former minister Ram Kumari Jhankri, former minister Rajendra Shrestha and researcher Dr. Kalpana Khanal jointly released the book.
Former Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai said at the release ceremony, "This book is an invaluable textbook for policy-makers, researchers and students who want to set the path for Nepal's economic development." It has reached the root of the problem and presented alternative ways of solution.
researcher Dr. Highlighting the global relevance of the book, Khanal said, "The economic situation of Nepal has been analyzed by linking it with the economic-political environment of the world context. This has made the book relevant even at the international level.
Former Minister Pandey said that the structural problems of development are presented in a detailed and factual manner in the book. He said, "It is important for every citizen to understand the obstacles in the development process of Nepal, and this book will become an effective tool for that."
Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr. Paudel praised the historical and contemporary analysis of the book. He said, "Karki has presented the weakness seen in the Nepalese economy since the Rana period with deep study". He has made a significant contribution to economic writing by including the concept of alternative economy.' She said, "This book is very useful to understand how we can adopt the best policies and strategies in the current situation."
This is Karki's second book. Earlier, his book titled 'Alternative Economies' has been published, which discusses the alternative approaches of Nepal's economic policy.
