Vishnadatta-Saraswati Angbuhang Academic Fund of one crore rupees has been established to support studies and research related to the language, culture and history of Limbu and Limbuwan region.

Born in Taplejung and currently living in Canada, Vishnudatta Angbuhang and Mrs. Saraswati Karki Angbuhang have established an academic fund of one crore rupees to be operated and managed by the Limbuwan Study Center. From the interest amount of the said fund, it is intended to increase critical research and knowledge in the language, culture, history, tribal knowledge, skills and political, socio-economic and educational subjects of Limbu and Limbuwan region . The Vishnudatta-Saraswati Angbuhang academic award of one lakh rupees will be awarded every two years from the fund, while the 'Asundhanavrtti' will be awarded to one woman and one man every year. 

Akshaykosdhata Angbuhang said that he has established a fund for the study and research of his Limbu language, culture and history. Citizens of every country have a special love and affection for their motherland. "Nepalese are also in different countries for their livelihood and living and studying," Angbuhang said.

According to him, historian late Krishna Vikram Nembang has been awarded this year's Vishnudatta-Saraswati academic award during a ceremony on Saturday. Nemwang's work 'Limbu History: Tibetan, Lepcha, Koch, Sen and Rai Relations, 2080' is published.

The late Nemwang was posthumously honored with the prize of one lakh rupees by the former chancellor of Nepal Pragya Pratishthan, Bairagi Kaila. Historian Nembang, who was born in Pauwasaratap of Panther, died on 3rd November 2080 after the publication of the said work.

Likewise, this year's Vishnudatta-Saraswati Angbuhang Asundhanavrtti has been awarded to Vivek Gautam. Gautam has studied the importance of 'paha' of the Limbu community.

Earlier, Vijay Lumphungwa Limbu and Dr. Morahang Limbu was awarded . 

Similarly, from research, Indu Fombo and Raj Manglak and LB Palungwa Limbu, Amar Tumyahang and Teb Lawati, Kali Bahadur Limbu and Amrita Thebe, Sandhya Subba (Singjango), Madhuraj Kerung, Bhima Subba Limbu, Dilendra Kumar Subba, Mankumar Limbu, Subaschandra Teyung, Tajub Kumar Limbu, Hitram Teeling and Dumbar Lawati, Sita Mademba and L.B. Palungwa Limbu conducted research on various subjects and contexts. 

Angbuhang was born in Atharai Triveni Rural Municipality-3, Hangpang of Taplejung. Having spent most of his energetic life in teaching, he served as an official in the Government of Nepal from 2032 to 2041. He has been living in Canada since 2059.
