Entrepreneur Ziva Lamichhane's travel memoir 'Intact Antarctica' will be awarded this year's Best Peace Prize. The Uttam Kunwar Smarak Award Guthi announced the award to Lamichhane's work 'Akshat Antarctica' in a press release on Sunday.
The prize selection committee chaired by Dr. Partiveshwar Prasad Timilsina, chairman of Guthi, selected Lamichhane's novel 'Akshat Antarctica' as the best non-narrative work of the year 2081 for successfully making the world's most pressing issue such as the environment a topic of debate through an exciting travelogue of a remote snow region like Antarctica with innovative thinking, interesting craft and new style. It has been decided to dedicate the 'Uttam Peace Prize'.
Uttam Kunwar Smarak Award Guthi has been giving 'Uttam Peace Award' worth one lakh since 2044.
