With the aim of encouraging the role of engineering and entrepreneurship in building the future of Nepal, Kathmandu University Civil Engineering Club has debated on 'Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Building the Future of Nepal through Policy, Practice and Enterprise'.

In the debate, the CEO of Sanima Mai Hydropower Dr. Suvarna Das Shrestha discussed the importance of public-private partnership model to implement effective engineering projects in Nepal. He emphasized that the gap between the market demand and the production of educational institutions should be filled and universities should play an active role in promoting entrepreneurship through research and innovation.

Civil engineer and entrepreneur Milan Pandey discussed how complex and difficult policies create problems in entrepreneurship and innovation. Noting that the competence of engineers has expanded to various fields, he stressed on the need to develop leadership skills, communication skills and soft skills. emphasized.

architect and former Miss Nepal Series Khatiwada said that the development of the country should be promoted by bringing forward female leadership and entrepreneurship. She pointed out the need to compete in the global market and adapt to changing technology. She inspired young engineers to play a responsible role in building the future of the country by developing creative thinking.

Civil Engineering Club Secretary Yujan Rajbhandari facilitated the program where the students had the opportunity to interact directly with the speakers. More than 250 students, professors and youth participated in the program in collaboration with the National Youth Council.
