They have been remembered in Pokhara through the Kaljayi song by the singer duo Taradevi and Aruna Lama. On Saturday evening, a joint organization of Pokhreli women artists 'Harmony' and Everest FM organized a memorial evening for Taradevi-Aruna Lama.

Harmony's artistes sang 'Devi Bandana' and the musical atmosphere moved forward. Devi Gurung sang Aruna Lama's 'Udi Jaon Ke', Lakshmi Giri's Taradevi's 'Kali Pare Dai Kati Good' and Elina Gurung's Aruna's 'Bhetinu Chutinu Ta Ke Ho Ra', the audience swayed to old songs. The audience became nostalgic when Rajniridham Rai sang Taradevi's ``Foolai Phoolko Mausam Teke'', dedicated to the loving couple, and Kaushalya Gurung sang ``Yeti Vary Maya Dei''.  When

singer Itu Jojiju sang Taradevi's 'Ukali-Oraliharuma', the audience also joined in. Itu along with her husband Ram Bhakta sang Taradevi's voice 'Lukun Lukun Laga Malai', the audience kept clapping. Another singer Sheetal Thapa sang Taradevi's 'Sanguri Bari Ni Hau', Seetal-Ram Bhakta duet 'E Kancha Malai Sunko Tara' and Mitu Pal sang Taradevi's 'Timra Pauharuma Ma'.

Singer Sangita Rana Pradhan, president of Surshakti Nari Group, a female singer's musical group from Kathmandu, sang Aruna Lama's 'Phoolai Sodhen'. Bobby Sunar mesmerized the audience by singing the tune of 'Pohor Saal Khushi'. The artists of Harmony made the program grand by presenting 'Yo Mayalai Bharosa Chai', 'Hamro Saheb' (from the movie Maya-Preeti) and 'Sungawa Jas Jeevan' (from the movie Shantideep) towards the group song. In memory of

singers Aruna Lama and Taradevi, Harmony and Everest FM have been holding musical evenings in Pokhara since 1979. As in the past, this year too, the program was planned to be held on the third Saturday of January. According to Dipendra Shrestha, the coordinator of the program held on Saturday postponed the program after the death of tabla player Sanjiv Pal, a member of Harmony.
