After the 45-minute long play 'Kandata and Shakuntala', which was performed by artists from Japan and Nepal, Chitwan's theater workers performed 'Bimbako Bhariya'.

Two plays were performed on Saturday evening in the auditorium of Narayani Kalamandir in Narayangarh and this series will continue on Sunday and Monday. Where you can have fun with different styles of plays performed by foreign theater artists. 

In the 'First Chitwan International Festival-2081', which started at Kala Mandir, theater artists from Nepal, India, Japan, Iran, Lithuania and Spain will perform for three days. Tarang Natya Group, Karmi Chautari and Narayani Kalamandir jointly organized the festival. On Sunday, after the organizers presented a play, theater workers from Lithuania and Spain will show a joint play 'Arrived'.

International Theater Festival at Narayangadh After 'Arrived', Iranian drama 'Antigone'  will be presented. Indian drama 'Tamasa' will be staged at the festival which ends on Monday. Coordinator Dev Kumar Shrestha said that 40 theater artists from 6 countries including Nepal will gather at the festival. Third Nepal International Theater Festival is being held at Mandala Theater in Kathmandu. 

Foreign theater workers who came to Kathmandu to participate in the same festival also brought plays to Narayangadh. It is hoped that the gathering of international level theater artists and the art performance will be fruitful for the audience here and for us theater artists as well. This festival will play a good role in the development of drama and theater culture in Chitwan, said Anjan Pradeep, director of the festival.
