”Antarctica Dialogue” with Lamichhane

Jiva Lamichhane, a businessman currently living in Germany, is also active in writing. Lamichhane, the former president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, has published three books on Niatra. His recently published work is 'Akshat Antarctica'.

When he came to his home district Chitwan on Monday to discuss about the same book, Narayangarh bookstore "Sampoorna Kitab" held "Antarctica Samvad" .

Everyone knows that Antarctica is a continent full of snow. Where there are no human settlements, there are also very few animals. More than Antarctica, what most people remember is penguins, seals and whales after the snow. Lamichhane's book has a 13-day travelogue as a tourist in such a place. In the book, he has included the story of Antarctica's geography, environment and travel history.

'I found a lot written about Antarctica in English and Hindi. It is very less in Nepali. One is that I am a person who has a habit of swaying. After reaching there, it was advised to write a book. This is how this third book was born," said Lamichhane.

Earlier, his Niatra books 'Sarsarti Sansar' and 'Desh Deshawar' have been published.

He said that the journey to reach Antarctica will be exciting. Let's not say it's dangerous, first, during the search for the Arctic, sea voyages are dangerous. Now there is a ship to overcome that danger. The water wave in the sea rises up to 50 meters . "The journey to be lifted and carried by the ship will be different," he said.

"This is more of a narrative than the previous two books," said Lamichhane, "Antarctica is not under the administrative control of any country". But the tour operators who take them there have taken good precautions to ensure that there is no harm caused by people from outside in Antarctica .
