The Lumbini Provincial Fine Arts Exhibition has started in Butwal from Saturday under the initiative of Nepal Fine Arts Pragya-Pratishthan.
Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya inaugurated the exhibition during a program. He mentioned that Lumbini province is a fertile land for fine arts and said that a prosperous province can be built by protecting, promoting and promoting art, culture, language, literature and creativity. "It is important to transfer the artwork and skills to the new generation", he said, "If we make pictures of our heritage and bring it to the market, the income can also be increased." He expressed his belief that promotion will happen. He said that since art is an invaluable asset of any nation's identity, culture and civilization, such exhibitions will promote the Nepali fine arts sector and stimulate new talents.
He informed that the government of Lumbini province has started the process of formation of Prajna-Pratishthan for the preservation and promotion of literature, language development, preservation of culture and history and promotion of art. According to him, the process of drafting the bill is ongoing. He said that the law will be prepared covering all aspects.
In the exhibition that will run until February 14th, figures created by artists from 12 districts of the province have been displayed. 180 artworks of 123 artists have been placed in the exhibition.
