The Nepal Students Association has held a symposium on climate justice in Syangboche, Solukhumbu. In the program held on Thursday, young students discussed climate change and its impact on the Himalayan region of Nepal and said that initiatives for climate justice should be increased.
They also drew the attention of the international community for climate justice. According to Suraj Sejuwal, spokesperson of the United Nations, the event was organized to draw the attention of the international community regarding climate justice. The Navy Association has also reached Syangboche and planted trees.
Clean Energy Nepal, Harin Nepal, Nepali Youth Climate Campaign, World's Youth for Climate Justice, Youth Action for Sustainable and Eco Nepal, and Youth Initiative Nepal have done this program. In the
event, the winner of the Jai Nepal Cup cricket held by the Navy recently in Kathmandu, student players of Midwest University, representatives of Everest National Park, representatives of Himalayan Trekkers Nepal, local residents, trekkers, members of Nepal Student Association and climate activists participated.
