National Heritage Conservation Foundation Nepal has honored those who have contributed to the society and the country in various ways on the occasion of National Dress and International Hat Day.

Composer of national anthem Pradeep Kumar Rai (Baykul Maila), editor-in-chief of Annapurna Post Akhand Bhandari, writer Rajendra Bimal, culture expert Prof. Veena Paudyal, author and writer Mohan Duwal, spiritual preacher Chaitanya Krishna Maharaj, historian Govind Nepali, singer and Founder Sumit Khadka, Author and Explorer Dipendraraj Timsina, National President of Nepal Jaycees Year 2025 Senator Rajni Thapa has been honored.   

Similarly, young activists Chakra Bahadur Chand and KP Khanal, music composer Rajendra Bajgai, media workers Navraj Bajgai, Tribhuvanchandra Wagle, Dilip Dhakal and others will be honored.

Foundation has been celebrating National Dress and International Hat Day for the past decade with the aim of protecting Nepal's official national dress, national flag, national heritage and establishing international identity. Hats are also exhibited in Basantpur and Patan Durbar areas on the occasion of the day. A cultural program was also organized in Patan. Rajanand Mandavya, founder president of

Foundation, expressed his concern that the tradition of wearing Daura Suruwal and Dhaka cap is disappearing among the youth. He emphasized that since Nepal is a country of different races and costumes along with the national dress, everyone should promote the protection of their respective costumes.
