Writer Surya Prasad Lakoju's book named 'Panauti's Keke Jatraharu' has been launched. Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey launched the book on Saturday.
Addressing the program, Minister Pandey thanked the author Lakoju for publishing a book about Panauti's Jatra-Parvas related to rituals and culture. Minister Pandey expressed confidence that the description of Jatra-Parva and culture mentioned in the work will protect the culture and heritage of Panauti.
He said that the cooperation and coordination of all 3 levels of government is necessary to protect Panauti's culture and heritage.
In the work written by the young writer Lakoju, Panauti is discussed as the main settlement and market area of Panauti Municipality, as it has many characteristics and importance. The importance of Panauti due to religious, cultural, archaeological, geographical etc. has been described in the work since ancient times.
