The debate program 'Chittaun Kacheheri' on various dimensions of the country and the world is being held at Narayangarh Narayani Kala Mandir on Friday and Saturday. This is the second edition of 'Chittaun Kacheheri'.
Earlier, on 29th and 30th Baisakh of the year 2080, 'Chittaun Kacheheri' was held in Kala Mandir. The organizers have said that this time, guests from India and Pakistan will come along with local experts and activists to debate in the office.
In the opening of 'Chittaun Kacheheri', the director of the organizing committee, Sarita Tiwari, informed that Dr. Parvez Hudbo, a scientist, writer and intellectual leader of Pakistan, will be the keynote speaker. Similarly, writer Harsh Mandar from India will also come to participate in the debate on 'Chittaun Kacheheri', she said. "The first Chittoun Kacheheri was focused on the development of the settlement of Chitwan and the issue of tribals who were sidelined in the development process," Tiwari said.
According to Tiwari, this time, the main discussion will be on the communal upheaval, hatred, polarization and violence that have appeared in the politics of South Asia. The organizers have called the event a 'festival of ideas'. Festival coordinator Sagar Karki informed that the questionnaire prepared by Professor Chaitanya Mishra regarding the overall educational problems of the country including the proposed higher education bill will also be submitted in the program.
The organizers have informed that a dozen sessions will be held for two days on issues such as youth and child focused sessions, migration, sexual violence against minors, ethnic untouchability, environment and waste management. In the literature session, poetry will be the focus of the topic. "Better Chitwan" has coordinated the "Chittoun Kacheheri" which is done jointly by various associations of Chitwan.
