Procrastination is the habit of putting off important work and doing less important work. Most people can see this habit. If someone has this habit excessively, it is called 'chronic procrastination'.

Sometimes the habit of procrastination is normal, but sometimes it can lead to feelings of anxiety and worry. If you delay starting something, leave it unfinished or do it only at the last minute, these are symptoms of 'procrastination'. 

Sometimes you may not realize that you are procrastinating. You may not know that an hour has passed while scrolling on your mobile. 

Procrastination doesn't mean you're weak, lazy or unable to manage your time. According to experts, thinking this way can make people feel worse and avoid understanding the real reasons. 

Emotion Management :  Avoiding work can sometimes be a way to manage emotions . According to various researches, people avoid such activities, which they do not like to do or feel lazy, find it difficult or which causes us pain . People avoid doing things that cause stress or cause painful feelings. 

Fear of failure :  Some people have the nature of not wanting to make mistakes. For such people, there is a habit of achieving perfection in all work . A person can avoid work for this reason . When the fear of failure or the fear of making mistakes is high, the pressure to 'be right' stops us from getting started.

Lack of confidence :  People who are less confident about their abilities tend to procrastinate . Negative thinking and low self-confidence prevent you from starting work .

Lack of attention to work :  Distraction from work can also be a cause of procrastination . Most of the people are not able to pay attention due to mobile . Mobile notifications grab our attention. But being easily distracted is also causing procrastination. 

For some people, difficulty completing tasks can be a sign of a deeper problem . Such as problems like 'Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder' which are characterized by inability to pay attention and unstable behavior.

Is your to-do list impossible? Or do you like to work late ? By understanding these reasons, a solution can be found. 

Prioritization: should prioritize the most urgent or important tasks according to your to-do list. Is there enough time to complete the work ? Accordingly, divide the work into small parts and work by taking regular breaks that will not stress you out.

Avoiding distractions : Put your phone in 'Do Not Disturb' mode . Other reasons for distraction include: Let people around know that you are doing important work for a while .
