Two people have died after being crushed by a tree in Katari, Udayapur.
Minamaya Tamang, 49, has died after being crushed by a tree in Katari Municipality-8 Thaliatar. While she was moving goats from a shed near her house, the wind that came with the rain hit a Kutmiro tree near her house and she died, said Kedarman Dod, Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Area Police Office, Katari.
She was taken to the Provincial Hospital, Katari, Udayapur, and the doctors declared her dead, according to the police.
Two people, including Tamang, have died in an accident in Katari after the wind. On Monday evening, Birendra Chaudhary, 64, of Katri Municipality-5, also died after being crushed by a tree after the wind. Five people were injured along with her.
