Chhatraman Kuthumi of Dhankuta, who was shot dead during the Gen-G movement, was cremated at Dangsing village in Pakhribas Municipality 10 Chungmang on Wednesday.

Kuthumi was cremated according to Kirat rites in a nearby bari.

Kuthumi's two wives, Ramkumari and Mandira, were present at the funeral. Similarly, Siraj Joshi, the coordinator of Gen-G Dhankuta and others paid their last respect by wearing the national flag.

According to Kishore, Kuthumi's brother, according to Kirat rituals, he was cremated in a grave near the house. Kuthumi's body was taken to the home district by a helicopter of the Nepalese army on Tuesday.
