So far, three people have died in Panchthar, including a mother and daughter. In Fidim 1 and 4, 3 people lost their lives and 5 people are missing.

Gopi Vishwakarma, a 50-year-old local, died in the landslide at Phidim-1. Similarly, 24-year-old Sapna of Fidim 12 and her 5-year-old daughter Dolma Sharpa died on the spot when a landslide fell while they were sleeping in a house adjacent to the building of Adivasi Janjati Federation in Fidim 4.

Fidim-1 Krishna Dash, Kamala Dash, Rajesh Tumbapo, his wife Saraswati Tumbapo and Dhankumar Tumbapo are missing when a landslide occurred near Famekhola, police said.

At the same time  Belybridge located on the Hewa river on the Mechi highway has also been swept away by the flood. The bridge was constructed by the federal government after the concrete bridge collapsed due to the flood that occurred on June 2 last year.  Along with the bridge washed away, road communication between Hilihang and Yangwarak villages of Pachthar district along with Taplejung has been cut off.
