People say - Jiva was a good man

When I take my last breath on this earth and my physical body dissolves into Panchatattva - what does it mean to me that I am dead, no matter how people remember me? The true meaning of remembering me will be when I am alive.

I shuddered when I thought about death. While I was busy in many rushes to live life, I did not stop thinking about death and thinking about it. After all, thinking about death is thinking about life!

Human civilization has always been searching for the meaning of life. Over that meaning, people and nature kept bowing down to power. After all, he always proved to be weak and weak against the continuity of nature . It is an eternal truth that people and living creatures will eventually disappear from this animal world - the victory over death is just a dream!

Human thinking on life and death is poor. His conclusion is - death is true. However, people are extremely afraid to accept the essence that he has taken out, that is, the irrefutable truth. How scared a person is, he even runs away from the thought of death . Even the mere memory of 'one day must die' causes tremors in him . After all, this is what life is all about. And life never imagines death.

I think travel is the best invention of life . If the writer is a documenter, writing about travel is also writing history - of the nature and culture of the time. I think - the traveler takes the journey as a school of life .

On the day he returned home from a long journey, a request came from his friend Deepak Sapkota - to write some words on 'Mrityu-chintan' for 'Koseli'. Yes, I was shocked after that, when I started thinking about death . I thought, life is also true, death is also true . Therefore, the rope connecting truth and falsehood is very thin, which can be snapped at any moment. Poet Haribhakta Katuwal has contemplated death magnificently through his powerful poem 'Yo Zindagi Khai Ke Zindagi' -

You have to sleep with your head on the barrel of a gun here

You have to live with your feet on the edge of the kukuri here

It's time to close your eyes, it's time to raise your eyes

What life is this life!

... this life is like cheap rubber slippers!

Walking on the path

chat can break this life!

alive we have not experienced death . Our ancestors who died and went on an eternal journey did not come back and explain the realization of death to us. Maybe that's why - the 'death fear' that is arising in us is not specifically of death, but it can be just a guilt of having to leave the pleasures and feelings of lust, relationships and position, money and prestige that we have accumulated in our life experience . An agony of emptiness. Leaving all the happiness, relationships, feelings, knowledge and understanding, people have to leave this world one day . And, as Haribhakta said, 'This life may break!'

How did people remember me after my death? Pondering over ghat, life and death, I borrow the branded words of poor writer Kumar Nagarkoti - Who cares? How will people remember me? I am not interested in that. I guess, maybe some people will be shocked after my death . Words of condolence and tribute from some benevolent friends will come on social networks . My sons, wife, siblings and loved ones will probably miss me for a long time. As it has been 11 years since my father passed away, I still miss him, the memory keeps bothering me . Now I myself have become middle-aged, but the pain of losing a parent has become a blossom and freezes in my mind, like a very deep sorrow. However, those who survive in the world have to come to terms with time.

What is the nature of a person, his memories are fading away. It is called 'Time Hills'! Especially time is the medicine - of grief and sympathy. I look at the sky in the dark nights when I am reckless in my travels. I see, twinkling stars . When I was a child, in the cold, dark evenings of Pus-Magh, the elders would sit around the blanket and tell folk tales - the people who have passed away look at their living relatives as stars in the sky . Which star is the father among the stars in the sky? Sometimes I become the same child .

As my father is fading from memory now, I think - after death, all those relatives of mine will definitely miss me, but they will forget with time. And, another chapter will begin - of their memory. In this way, my or anyone's death can be a cause of grief, sadness and emptiness for a while. However, just as life is not eternal, death, fear and sorrow are also eternal, which will disappear/must disappear in the rapid run of time.

Know – death is eternal . But how can you live even after death? People are engrossed in that fascination. Poets/writers/scientists and all the dreamers keep on traveling in the streets of life with the desire to be immortal in their works . However, if the works he left behind gave any inspiration to the generation after him, he would have survived for some time. Even the glories of works are lost/irrelevant in the ravages of time . If this is realized, the death of the artist will be easy, peaceful and beautiful. I am perfectly clear that the acclaim, praise or let's say fame that I am getting now is fleeting and will soon disappear after my Shaykh. Beloved! I do not want to live in illusion!

When I take my last breath on this earth and my physical body dissolves into five elements - what does it mean to me that I am dead, no matter how people remember me? The true meaning of being remembered is not after I am dead, but while I am still alive. And there is meaning in 'remembering'. However, the desire that 'people remember me as a good person after death' should be kept while alive, which will lead me to a good way of life and deeds.

so beloved! What does an obituary, memorial or obituary mean to me after I die?

What kind of life should a person live? Revolutionary Soviet writer Nikolai Ostrovsky's famous novel "Agnidiksha" has a clear answer, "Life is the priceless possession of man". It should be lived in such a way that in the latter part of time, the moments spent aimlessly do not torment yourself. Don't make your own life a stinking tank and don't be a regret. Don't let yourself be embarrassed by past moments. Even on his deathbed, he could be proud that he gave all his life and all his energy for the welfare of mankind, the most beautiful part of the world.' Can there be a more beautiful definition of a meaningful life?

The ascetics, saints, saints and perfect men who have succeeded in freeing themselves from all the subjects and lusts of life die with a smile, as if death is not a dimension for them . I had read somewhere - Swami Ramakrishna Paramahansa passed away in a state of bliss after giving a forewarning to the family. Osho said "there is no death". In Osho's view, death is not the end of life, it is only a transformation. A newborn baby transforms into a child over time, a child into a teenager, middle-aged and old. Finally he gives up the body and attains the state he was in before birth . I have seen Osho - a pilgrim who considers death to be a very easy process - dancing and singing and celebrating the death of a 'swajan' and participating in the funeral.

It would be easy for sages like Osho, Buddha or Krishna to celebrate death. But, for a common man like me, death is a tragedy, the ultimate deprivation of life, the height of suffering and the most painful moment! Because man does not want to die, he wants to live forever . However, he has to experience death and suffering. Buddha said - birth, root (old age), disease (disease) and death are the four Aryasatya, i.e. suffering. Suffering is the nature of people who want to live forever.

The story of rebirth instills hope in people . The materialist and especially the Charvaka philosophy of the East does not accept the concept of rebirth. Charvak Darshan says – 'This human life is the first and the last . Whatever you do, you should do it in this age.' It promotes indulgent thinking. However, in the Hindu and Buddhist tradition, there is talk of reincarnation. Especially in the womb of this concept is hidden the great philosophy that 'man should make life meaningful and devote himself to charity and human welfare'.

There is an eastern belief - if you do good deeds in this Zuni, you will not only improve, but in the next Zuni, you will get a positive result. 'Juni Saparnu' means dedicating oneself to public welfare! With this understanding, I am trying to walk myself on the same path. Reincarnation or not? Should I enjoy the cumulative fruits of my actions or not? I don't know . That discussion should be done by the wise.

But, the truth is that if we have hurt/tormented someone in this June, we will have to repent in this June. One day Abhyantar will say that what we did was wrong . After thinking about death, I think that you should focus on making life worthwhile. 'Making life meaningful' means devoting oneself to charity and public welfare.

What to pray to God for the next June ? It is written in 'Atharvaveda' - May I get healthy senses and become powerful in the next Zuni. May I attain spiritual wealth, God and Vedic knowledge and may I work selflessly for the welfare of the world in my next birth . May the purity of my mind and actions bring me salvation, may I be freed from the cycle of birth and death.'

I look back at the sad and happy eyes of my life and I think - I may have had many weaknesses, but till today I have not knowingly caused pain or injustice to anyone.

I want people to remember me as 'a good man'. After death my eligibility and relevance will cease . However, those who are remembered should remember me in such a way, from which they can get inspiration even if it is a little to make life worthwhile .

Life-death stories and discussions-thoughts are the endless debates of time . Life is a story, the strings of which are connected - in happiness, depression and inspiration . Beloved! I will enter the dark and eternal 'tunnel' of death, but what is the meaning of my desire other than to say that my meaningful life-light will give some inspiration to those who live ?
