Conspiracies in America and Hollywood are not new. Be it the death of the actress Marilyn Monroe, the then President John F. Kennedy, or the video made by the director Stanley Kubrick about the moment America landed on the moon in 1969, there are small-big conspiracies about all historical events in America. There are still many conspiracies about Hollywood celebrities.

Even though space science has made such a big leap, about 2 percent of the population of America, i.e. tens of millions of people, believe in the 'conspiracy theory' that the earth is not round but flat. 

Such conspiracies are heard even more in the death of Hollywood celebrities. Along with Monroe, many conspiracies are still discussed after the death of Hollywood celebrities such as Paul Walker, Kurt Cobain, Elvis Presley, Paul McCarthy and John Lennon. One such event that has become part of social media, media interviews, podcasts and documentaries is the departure of the 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson. 

On June 25, 2009, it was announced that Jackson had died at the age of 50 from an overdose of sleeping pills prescribed by his personal doctor. Physician Conrad Murray was also sentenced to 4 years in prison for negligence. The death was followed by a public memorial service on July 7 and Michael's funeral on September 3. His mortal remains were laid to rest in a gold-lined coffin in the presence of his family and various celebrities.

And, this sorrow did not leave him until his death. In 1984, an accident during the shooting of a Pepsi commercial changed Jackson's life forever. At that moment, part of his face was burnt by fire. In a three-part documentary, Pearl not only questions various issues related to the death of the 'King of Pop', but also claims that Jackson faked his death. The documentary purports to be that Jackson attended his own funeral, made several public appearances, and was accompanied by his family. In 2009, books and articles including 'Michael Jackson: The Man Behind the Mask' written about Jackson by Bob Jones and Stacey Brown spread many conspiracy theories.  One of the main themes that

conspiracy theorists have been pushing is the claim that Jackson was seen even before his death. Some conspiracy theorists claim that Michael's lookalike was present at his nephew's wedding. She says that Michael appeared in the 2016 video of her daughter Paris Jackson. The news that this pop singer is living anonymously in rural Texas after his fake death has been spread on social media. 

At Jackson's funeral, his relatives did not seem to be deeply saddened and some of them seemed to be smiling. There's no shortage of people who think Jackson staged his own funeral to escape nearly $500 million in debt and endless legal trouble. There are those who suspect that Jackson's coffin, which had been well rehearsed the day before, was not opened. And, based on the statements of the doctor who was jailed on charges related to his death, the conspiratorial argument is that there is room for doubt because many things have been linked. The rumors got even stronger when Steve Earhart, a famous Hollywood hairstylist who worked with Jackson, posted on social media claiming that the singer is alive and will come forward soon. He has not given concrete evidence of such matters, nor has the claim been proven true yet. By the year 2024, various digital creators using 'artificial intelligence' have increasingly started to spread photos and videos of Jackson singing as false information.

Jackson's family and close relatives have denied claims that he is alive or that his death was faked. In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2017, his daughter Paris Jackson denied major conspiracies and said her father was murdered. Michael's sister, Latoya Jackson, also claimed that her brother was murdered over his musical assets. Some of the handwritten notes said to be written by Michael Jackson, published by The Sun magazine, read, "They want to kill me," and "I'm scared for my life."

In an interview given to 'Daily Star' online, his bodyguard at the time, Matt Fiddes, said that there is no truth in market conspiracies and that it will affect Jackson's family and relatives badly. After Jackson's death, his mother Catherine did not comment on market rumors, instead spending time on his background, family or musical legacy. Jackson's then-physician and his lawyer stated that the singer killed himself through drug use due to his deteriorating financial situation and stress.

Jackson's very close friends and Hollywood celebrities Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones have also denied all the rumors related to his death. Jackson's family, who died in debt almost 15 years ago, are now billionaires and busy with their own business, settling almost all legal disputes. His mother still manages the major part of that property. Singer Jackson's three children have also tried to manage life after their father's death. Eldest son Prince runs a YouTube channel while daughter Paris is busy with music and acting, younger son Biggie is not very active and is interested in film production. Jackson's sisters Janet and Latoya, brothers Tito, Jackie, Marlon are involved in various forms of music.
