Karnali Provincial Assembly Secretary Jeevraj Budhathoki has returned Rs 3,169,923 after being accused of receiving double benefits. With the return of the amount, he is in the running to become the secretary for the third time. Secretary Jeevraj Budhathoki has returned the money after repeated complaints were filed with the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority against him for receiving double benefits. According to the secretariat, he had received this amount till Asad 2081. Budhathoki's account has been frozen since Shrawan 2081. 

A complaint was filed with the Authority that he received salary, allowances and other benefits twice while he was the secretary of the Provincial Assembly. On 2082 Jestha 14, he returned Rs 3,169,923 to the Pension Management Office for incorrect pension payment.  Source Pension Management Office According to sources, Secretary Budhathoki himself deposited the amount in the bank account number 100010020001000 of the Central Office of the National Commercial Bank. 

An employee of the Provincial Assembly said that he does not inform other employees about the work of the office. 'Other employees do not know about any work. We have not received the documents for depositing this amount. Even when a complaint is made to the Authority, the secretary himself sends the documents personally and gives the requested answers himself. "We are not informed about the work and other activities that have been done in the Provincial Assembly for the past six years," he said.
