Police are awaiting the forensic report in the rape and murder case of 16-year-old Inisha BK, who was found unconscious in the Janajagaran Community Forest in Birendranagar Municipality-4, Surkhet.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Jung Budthapa, spokesperson of the District Police Office Surkhet, the investigation is ongoing with the other three children involved in the incident under control.
According to him, the preliminary findings of the investigation are ready within the next two to three days. The police have sent the evidence including the mobile phones, electronic devices of the deceased Inisha and the accused children, as well as Inisha's vaginal swab to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory for toxicological and bioserological tests.
According to Budh Thapa, the mystery of the death will be clear only after the forensic report comes. Although it normally takes 15 days to get the forensic report, in this case the police are working to complete all the testing procedures within a week.
While the Surkhet Police and the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) are continuing a detailed study of the incident, the process of recording the statements of the arrested children is also underway.
