It has been confirmed that 16-year-old Inisha Bik, who was a permanent resident of Badakholi, Gurbhakot Municipality-6 and was living in Birendranagar-1, died due to excessive bleeding due to tearing of the internal part of the genitals.
The post-mortem report submitted to the police by a team of specialist doctors has revealed the initial cause of her death.
According to the doctors involved in the post-mortem, the deceased had sustained a laceration on her back and the external and internal parts of the genitals were found to be torn. 'It was found that the severe injury to the genitals caused excessive bleeding, which led to her death,' said Dr. Arbin Shakya, a forensic expert at Bheri Hospital, 'It appears that sexual intercourse was forced, which resulted in injuries to both the internal and external parts of the genitals.'
She was found unconscious in the Janajagaran Community Forest in Birendranagar-4 on Saturday. Police and locals rescued her and brought her to the provincial hospital, but the doctor declared her dead. The District Police Office has arrested four minors on charges of involvement in the incident. Based on their statements and the postmortem report, the office's spokesperson, DSP Mohanjung Budthapa, said that rape was confirmed.
'Further evidence has been revealed after the viscera test, for which we have collected blood and swabs,' he said. 'The hymen (genital part) was torn and there was excessive bleeding,' he said. 'That has also been revealed in the statements of the accused, based on both pieces of evidence, it can be said that the murder was committed after rape.'
