Request to recognize all licensed doctors in health examinations for licenses
The Department of Transport Management has urged the concerned ministries of all seven provinces to make arrangements to recognize health examination certificates issued by any doctor registered with the Nepal Medical Council and licensed for health examination for driving license.
Ganesh Man Singh Rai, Director of the Vehicle Monitoring, Standards Formulation and Driver Management Branch under the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Department of Transport Management, has issued a circular in this regard on Ashar 32.
The circular states, 'The current system of health examination for obtaining a driving license has created problems such as unnecessary crowding of service recipients, additional financial burden and syndicates due to the involvement of a limited group. Therefore, with the aim of making the service flow more simple, transparent and service recipient-friendly, transparency and uniformity have been created while making arrangements to recognize health examination certificates issued by doctors registered with the Nepal Medical Council and licensed for health examination.' Since it can be maintained, it is requested that the ministries in charge of the transport sector of all seven provinces be requested to comply with the decision of the Honorable Ministerial Level dated 2083 Jesh 13 .'
It is expected that the health check-up for obtaining a driving license will be more systematic, dignified and the service recipients will benefit from the circular of the federal government.
Meanwhile, the Department of Transport Management has requested the details of the recognized doctors from the Nepal Medical Council. The department wrote to the council on 17th of this month and requested the details.
