Tribhuvan University (TU) Teaching Hospital is set to resume its health insurance program. The hospital, which had suspended the program since Magh 1, is set to resume it from Ashad 15. According to the hospital's executive director, Dr. Subhash Prasad Acharya, the service is currently being operated in the outpatient department (OPD) and will be expanded to other services in a few days.

The service was shut down after the hospital did not pay for the treatment provided by the hospital through the health insurance program. According to him, the hospital will provide insurance tickets to patients from 7:00 am to 11:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Just a few days ago, the board had provided payment for the treatment provided by the health insurance to the hospital.

The hospital had been operating treatment services through the health insurance program that it has been operating regularly since 2077.
