Hair transplant in women: Increasing attractiveness, low success rate

There is growing interest in hair loss in women and hair transplants as a treatment. However, the process is more complex and challenging for women than for men.

British bodybuilder Tracy Kiss's hair loss started gradually. She realized the problem was serious when she started losing a lot of hair while showering and her scalp started to show when her hair was wet. Kiss, who once had very thick hair, said that her hair had become extremely thin after giving birth to two children at the age of 25. She used various styles, extensions and wigs to hide her hair. She also tried supplements, special shampoos and injections after she noticed a deficiency in vitamins such as iron. However, she says that she was very depressed.
According to experts at 'Harvard Health', at least a third of women are experiencing some type of hair loss. The problem is (androgenetic alopecia), which is said to be linked to hormone imbalance and family history. According to the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), the number of women undergoing hair transplants increased by more than 16 percent between 2021 and 2024.
