The National AIDS and STD Control Center is to award seven health workers for their outstanding performance in HIV prevention, treatment, care and support services.
The center is going to reward them through an honor program as per the decision of the annual review of the national HIV program.
The awardees are Manoj Prasad Ojha, HIV Focal Person of the Health Directorate, Rajpur-Doti, Kamal Kumar Thapa, Chief of the Provincial Public Health Laboratory, Birendranagar-Surkhet, Dr. Sanket Kumar Risal, Consultant Physician of Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj-Banke, Narayani Subedi, ART Counselor of the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences, Krishna Sapkota, Senior Program Coordinator of FHF Nepal, Lalitpur, Rajiv Pathak, ART Counselor of the Provincial Public Health Hospital, Mahottari, and Kamal Nepali, ART Counselor of Bhadrapur Provincial Hospital, Jhapa.
According to the center, the honor program has been organized with the aim of encouraging employees who have made significant contributions to HIV prevention, diagnosis, treatment and service delivery.
The program is scheduled to be held on December 10 and 11 at Hotel Square in Pulchowk, Lalitpur.
