A high-level city scan machine based on artificial intelligence (AI) has been put into operation since Sunday at the Civil Community Teaching Hospital at Gathaghar in Bhaktapur for early detection of health problems such as heart city angiogram, brain, chest, stomach, bones etc.

In this machine, it is possible to get information about whether a person has/has not had a heart attack by examining the heart tube.

The state-of-the-art city machine, which has been launched at the civil hospital in Gathaghar, which is managed by Hams Hospital, will be able to scan the organs of the patient that the doctor wants to see for diagnosis within two minutes. By giving the details of the organ to be scanned in this machine, the AI can adjust the position of the patient and issue a report.

"After lying down on the CT scanning machine, there is no hassle of having to tilt left or right or position the part you want to CT scan," said RS Bhandari, the president of the hospital.

President Bhandari also claimed that it emits the least radiation among the machines operating in Kathmandu so far. According to him, a new machine has been installed and put into operation in Bhaktapur district especially with the aim of making diagnosis and treatment possible in time for heart attack patients.

The operation of the machine was started by senior expert doctors Dr. Bhola Rizal, Dr. Lord Koirala and Dr. Arjun Karki has done it jointly. In the program, former Minister Minendra Rizal, MP Durbash Thapa and others said that service delivery should also be made accessible for the use of modernity in health technology. Civil Hospital is being operated under the management of Hams. Chairman Bhandari informed that the civil hospital is operating by providing quality services and facilities of Hams. He said that as specialist services are being conducted from Hams, the facilities will reach not only Bhaktapur but also the districts in the east of the valley.
