The government is going to vaccinate children under the age of five who missed vaccination on 31st Baisakh.
Head of Child Health and Immunization Branch of Health Services Department. Abhiyaan Gautam informed that nine types of routine vaccinations will be administered to the missing children. "We are vaccinating children under the age of five who missed regular vaccinations on Baisakh 31," he said. "On that day, children who missed regular vaccinations will be vaccinated."
In Nepal, 95 percent of children under the age of five have been fully vaccinated. Branch Head Dr. Gautam said that the remaining five percent of missing children will be searched and vaccinated.
The Ministry of Health and Population has requested the parents to vaccinate all children who missed vaccination by taking them to the nearest health institution.
