Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel has said that the government will expand the civil health service to all 753 municipalities.

Inaugurating the services of the National Ayurveda Panchakarma and Yoga Service Center, Budhanilkanth Kathmandu on Friday, Minister Poudel informed that the government is moving forward according to the plan to bring citizen health services to all municipalities.

He mentioned that the government is trying to develop the Ayurveda sector in a comprehensive manner and promised that necessary arrangements will be made in the budget of the next fiscal year to provide civil health services to all municipalities.

Minister Paudel mentioned that Ayurveda is Nepal's original medical system as well as a way of life and it is Nepal's culture and civilization. He emphasized that Nepal should be made the hub of the Ayurveda field and that Ayurveda originated from Nepal.

He said, 'What was the number of cancer cases 5 years ago and how many are there today? Today, the number of women dying from cervical cancer has reached 4 a day. This was not the case 15 years ago. The number of people with autism is also three times higher today than it was 5 years ago. If the number of patients continues to increase in this way, it will be very difficult for us to provide treatment services. A burden will be created that the state cannot bear.

Therefore, he said that instead of treating the disease, we should find ways to prevent the disease, and he is moving forward with the work accordingly.

'We have started a campaign to make healthy Nepalis. We have expanded the screening program. Knowledge of Ayurveda health system is essential for all Nepalis. Because it is not only our original medical system but also our lifestyle, culture and civilization,” said Minister Paudel.

He emphasized that Nepal should be made the hub of Ayurveda, and the message that Ayurveda originated from Nepal should be spread all over the world.

Minister Paudel said that the government is looking for ways to prevent people from getting sick and is moving ahead with creating a long-term policy for this.
