Recommend three names for Health Secretary

Three names have been recommended for the secretary of the Ministry of Health and Population. Dr. working as the secretary of the ministry. After Roshan Pokharel went on compulsory leave from Sunday 11th of February due to age limit, the search for a new secretary started.

Mishra, who was recommended as number one, is currently in charge of additional secretary in the ministry. She entered the health service in the year 2057 and returned to the government service in the year 2070 through open competition. Mishra, who was named in the 11th level from the open competition, held the responsibility of the head of Kosi Hospital and Charitable Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital.

2080 She came to the ministry after successfully performing the role of director general of the health service department for about one year from August 13, 2080. She also worked as a spokesperson in the ministry at one time. Devkota, who was recommended in the second number, is currently in charge of the director general of the health service department .

He joined the service in the year 053 and was promoted to the 12th level i.e. Additional Secretary on 13th Chait 2079. He has already performed the responsibility of Health Secretary of Lumbini Province. From October 6, 2081, he became the director general of the department. Barakoti, who joined the service in 2056, was promoted to the 12th level on 13 Chait 2079. Before that, he came to the ministry as a medical superintendent in the provincial hospital, Bhadrapur.

According to the Nepal Health Service Act, 2053, there is a provision to appoint an additional secretary at the 12th level or from among the employees who have worked for five years at the 11th level based on seniority and performance evaluation. Mishra is ten months senior to Barakoti and Devkota on the basis of promotion in the 12th level.

For the first time, the government, which won praise by appointing a woman as Kamu Chief Secretary, this time again has an opportunity to create history by appointing Mishra as secretary on behalf of Madhesi women.
