Nepal Childhood Cancer Alliance (NCCA) has been established. The Alliance was established in collaboration with Ramesh Gupta Memorial Trust, Leonardo Edward Shrestha Foundation, Together Against Childhood Cancer and World Cancer UK to strengthen pediatric cancer treatment, patient and family support and long-term rehabilitation services.

In a special program organized on Sunday in Kathmandu, WCC Nepal coordinator Samrat Rayamazhi said that this initiative is not only limited to treatment.

He said that it is necessary to support financially and holistically for families fighting against child cancer and NCCA was established for that. "We are working to make any child safe by not being affected by cancer," he said.

He said that NCCA will also help families fighting against child cancer as a whole. Rayamazhi says that it will also do work such as early identification and raising awareness campaigns, providing financial and mental support to sick families, and reducing difficulties other than treatment.  Hariprasad Mainali, Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Population, said that it is necessary to identify the

disease and it is even more essential to carry out a campaign against communicable diseases. In Nepal, the state-of-the-art bone marrow transplant services are not available, so the patient dies. Krishnasagar Sharma said.
