The health condition of the young man being treated at Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital is out of danger after the monkeypox infection has been confirmed, the hospital said. Director of the hospital Dr. Youth Nidhi Basaula said that the young man had no new wounds and his condition was normal.

 'The wound is almost 80 percent dry,' he said, 'preparations are being made to discharge in a few days.' Monkeypox was confirmed in a 36-year-old man from Tanahun who returned from Saudi Arabia to Nepal on December 5. Previously, monkeypox infection was confirmed in a 60-year-old foreign woman who came to visit Nepal on June 1, 2080.

According to the Department of Health Services, the person who was recently confirmed to have monkeypox came from Saudi Arabia with symptoms. He went directly to Grandi Hospital from the airport for treatment. However, Shahid Shukraraj Traffic and Communicable Disease Hospital was referred to Teku Hospital from there. 

Monkeypox or Mpox is a viral disease. Which is caused by the monkeypox virus that infects monkeys and some other animals. Mpox is transmitted from human to human or from animal to human.

It usually occurs within 1 to 3 days after the onset of fever, a rash appears on the skin, face, palms, and feet, the rash changes to blisters and crusts, head, back, and muscle pain, and the glands of the body increase.
