The Besisahar-Chame road, which was blocked after a landslide in Srichaur, Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-4, Lamjung, has been reopened. The road was closed after a landslide damaged the road around 2 pm on Tuesday due to rain. The police said that the road was reopened from Tuesday evening after the landslide on the road was removed and the washed-out area was repaired. Khusiram Gurung, President of the Khudi Unit of the Lamjung Industry and Commerce Association, said that the road has been reopened since Tuesday evening. Initially, a one-way road was opened for vehicles to move and the road has been widened after the stopped vehicles were sent to their destinations. Jitendra Kumar Basnet, Chief of the District Police Office, said that the road was reopened in coordination with the ward. He said that with the opening of the road, vehicles are moving from Besisaur to Manang and from Manang to Besisaur. The place where the landslide occurred, Srichaur, is 25 kilometers north of Lamjung district headquarters, Besisaur. A few years ago, a landslide occurred in this place. The landslide occurred again at the site where the road was being built.
