The National Independent Party (NIP) has launched a road show focused on the Kathmandu Valley on Saturday. The election program targeted 10 constituencies in Kathmandu, including Bhaktapur and Lalitpur, under the leadership of RSP President Ravi Lamichhane and senior leader Balendra Shah.

RSP has launched a public relations and 'bell campaign' in the Kathmandu Valley targeting the House of Representatives elections. The campaign, which started at 6:30 am on Saturday from Pashupatinath Temple, reached Sankhu via Chabahil, Jorpati, Sundarijal. The election program, which started from Kathmandu-2, reached Sankhu via Constituency No. 3 with a rally on main roads and squares. A large number of supporters were waiting for RSP Lamichhane and Shah in Jorpati of Kathmandu-3.

Greeting the voters, they left Sankhu via Sundarijal. From Sankhu, they reached Mulpani, PepsiCola, and Sano Thimi. Then it reached Duwakot and reached Gundu from Suryabinayak via Byasi, Chyamasing, Jagati. The 'road show' reached Bungmati and Khokana via Naya Thimi, Jadibuti, Gwarko, Lubhu, Bandegaun, Chapagaun. From Khokana, it reached Kalimati via Satdobato, Lagankhel, Jawalakhel, Thapathali. From Kalimati, it reached Sitapaila via Balkhu, Kirtipur, Satungal, Chandragiri, Bandbhanjyang. From Sitapaila, it reached Jhor via Swayambhu, Balaju, Machhapokhari, Sheshmati, Futung. 

UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has intensified the election campaign in his constituency Jhapa-5 and activated door-to-door programs. Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa addressed election rallies in four districts of Madhesh Province on Saturday. Then it reached Maitidevi via Tokha, Budhanilkantha, Kapan, Sukedhara, Bishalnagar, Baluwatar. Then it reached Old Baneshwor via Thamel, New Road, Hattisar, Putalisadak, Maitighar, New Baneshwor. From there, the 'road show' ended at the party office Ghantighar in the evening via Lainchaur, Samakhushi, Gongabu, and New Bus Park. They had held election 'road shows' not only in Kathmandu but also in the main cities of Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. After reaching Bhaktapur-2, they tried to attract voters to them.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Joint Spokesperson Pratibha Rawal said that there was no address program on Saturday and only a 'road show' was held at important places in the valley. She said that the 'road show' was conducted to encourage candidates and voters in 10 constituencies of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur. From the RSS, 10 candidates including Ranju Neupane in Kathmandu-1. Sunil KC, Rajunath Pandey, Pukar Bam, Sasmit Pokharel, Shishir Khanal, Ganesh Parajuli, Birajbhakta Shrestha, Dol Prasad Aryal and Pradeep Bista are the candidates for the constituencies respectively. 

In the 2079 House of Representatives elections, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had won constituencies 6, 7 and 8 of Kathmandu. This time, the RSS has started its election campaign with a strategy to win in other constituencies as well, including these constituencies. Tosima Karki, Jagdish Kharel and Buddharatna Maharjan are the candidates in the 3 constituencies of Lalitpur. The RSS had previously won only in Lalitpur-3. As the campaign for the election scheduled for 21 Falgun is nearing its end, it seems that the RSS held a 'road show' on Saturday to demonstrate its strength. As Balendra will return to his constituency Jhapa-5 on Sunday, the RSS held a large 'road show' on Saturday. 

Oli's door-to-door visit in Jhapa-5

UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has intensified his election campaign in his constituency Jhapa-5 and activated the door-to-door program. Oli, who reached Jhapa last Saturday, is currently busy with continuous meetings, discussions and election rallies. According to his secretariat, he participated in more than half a dozen election rallies and interactive programs in the past week until Saturday. He reached Kanchanjungha Tole, Tarabari Dipu and Adarsh ​​Mangal Tole under Ward No. 4 and met local workers and voters directly. During the door-to-door visit, he presented his plans on development, stability and good governance and urged them to support him in the upcoming elections.

Then, Oli tried to listen to the concerns and suggestions of the local people by addressing meetings and corner meetings at various places in Ward No. 9, from tea shops to Gramthan and Arnakhadi Pranami Temple premises. Oli, who reached the settlements around Devithan, Beldangi and Zholunge Pul in Ward No. 2 at 2 pm, spent about 50 minutes with the voters.

Directly interacting with the locals, he discussed the development projects completed in the past and informed them about the upcoming plans. Similarly, he addressed a program organized at the Senior Citizens Assembly Hall in Ward-8, Baluwatar. He called on the party cadres to unite and be active in the election campaign. In the evening, he reached Ward-6 and presented his views on contemporary political issues, national issues and development to the cadres and voters.

Gagan at election meetings in four districts

Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa addressed election meetings in four districts of Madhesh Province today, Saturday. He reached Lalbandi, Rautahat and Bara in Sarlahi and addressed the election meetings in Birgunj in Parsa.

In Rautahat on Saturday evening, Thapa said that forming a government with UML was a mistake of the Congress. Congress Constituency No. Speaking at a program organized by 4 in Hardiya, Brindavan Municipality on Saturday, President Thapa said that the 32-seat Maoists needed a Prime Minister, while the 22-seat Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) needed a Home Minister, saying that there were many mistakes at that time. ‘Congress, UML, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Maoists have all made mistakes, no one would have done anything if they had not acted quickly,’ he said, ‘We must not allow such mistakes to be repeated again. President Thapa said that the spirit of the Gen-G movement should be understood. He said that since the conditions of education, health, drinking water, roads and Dalit settlements in Madhesh are pathetic, all these things will be given priority after his government is formed. It is said that Thapa will address a program to be held in Kathmandu Valley on Sunday.

Congress to hold 6 election meetings in Kathmandu Valley on Sunday

Congress is going to hold 6 election meetings in Kathmandu Valley on Sunday. President Gagan Kumar Thapa, Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma and Spokesperson Devraj Chalise are scheduled to address the election meetings. President Thapa and Spokesperson Chalise will address the election meeting to be held in Kirtipur, Kathmandu-10 at 1 pm. The Congress has nominated district member Himal Karki as its candidate here. 

The Congress Election Campaign Committee has stated that Vice President Sharma is scheduled to address the meeting to be held in Thimi, Bhaktapur at 2 pm. The Congress candidate in Bhaktapur-2 is Kabir Rana. The Congress, which has nominated Kabir Sharma as its candidate, will also address the meeting to be held in PepsiCola Town Planning, Kathmandu-2. President Thapa and Spokesperson Chalise are scheduled to address the meeting to be held at Balaju Chowk, Kathmandu-7 at 3 pm, where Pramodahari Guragain is the candidate. 

The joint election meeting of Kathmandu-5 and 6 will be held at Samakhusi Chowk at 3:30 pm. General Secretary Pradeep Poudel and District President Sabuj Baniya are candidates in Kathmandu-5 and Kathmandu-6, respectively. 

Party President Thapa and Spokesperson Chalise will address the joint meeting. President Thapa is scheduled to address at 4 pm in Baluwakhani, Kathmandu-4, where Sachin Timalsena is the candidate from the Congress.

Let's vote thoughtfully, not impulsively: Congress Vice President Sharma 

Achham- Congress Vice President Bishwo Prakash Sharma has come to Achham and emphasized the need for development and the past political instability. Sharma addressed separate programs in both the House of Representatives constituencies of Achham on Saturday. He called for the victory of the party's candidates through election meetings organized in Achham-1 and Achham-2 and put forward the agenda of development, good governance and stability. Former District President Bharat Kumar Swar is the candidate from the Congress in Achham-1, while District President Pushpa Bahadur Shah is in the fray in Achham-2.

‘I had come back 12 years ago when I came to Achham. It was wrong to form 30 governments in 34 years. Employees were not able to do their jobs,’ he said, urging voters to be restrained, ‘Let us think before going to vote, let us be restrained. We should not vote out of impulse or anger to show off. There are no turns in politics, there is competition.’

He added the context of the Gen-G movement and demonstrations on 23 and 24 Bhadra and expressed his belief that ‘even if a storm comes, we can handle it’. ‘In 064 BS, we have already seen the new one, the people suffered after seeing the Maoists,’ he added, ‘The question is not whether Pushpa Shah will win or not, but whether the country will win or not.’
