Being home in Chitwan National Park, Sudiksha Kumal initially felt that wild animals only hurt people. Because rhinoceroses, wild elephants, deer and wild boars that came to the village used to eat the farm. Tigers and other animals used to kill animals.

Villagers used to get injured after being attacked by wild animals. There are also people who lost their lives due to the attack in the village. But after living in the neighborhood, he became interested in the forest. 

After class 12, she planned to go abroad to study, but because she did not get a visa, she decided to stay and study in the village. Barahi Jungle Lodge was opened near home. Tourists from abroad came to Barahi, a classy tourist resort. Sudiksha's father Sudeep and mother Janaki were enjoying farming. Sudiksha wanted to do something new. Meena was the trekking guide, the daughter of a great mother who was a sister.

'Mina sister from Nawalpur went to Kathmandu and took training . She started guiding the tourists who go trekking to the mountains and hills. From that time, I thought that I should also become a guide,' said Sudiksha. She said this to Baba Sudeep. His friends were nature guides in Sauraha. No one in his family is in the tourism profession, Sudeep was ready to fulfill his daughter's wish .

Sudiksha will be able to take nature guide training . During the training, she learned the responsibilities of a nature guide and the risks associated with this profession. After completing the training, she started working from November 2022. Barahi Jungle Lodge near home put him in nature guide . She started wandering the forest with tourists.

It was approaching one year after starting the work, Jamka suddenly met with a baby rhinoceros . They were showing birds to the tourists in a bushy place. At least two nature guides must be accompanied by tourists while walking in the forest. Instead of being happy, when suddenly they saw a baby rhinoceros while watching the birds, they became responsible for protecting the tourists . Sudiksha handled the tourists . Another male guide who was with him chased the rhino away.  She told that

happened twice in three years. "Looking at this, it seems that there is a risk." But we also have that skill so that even if there is a risk, we are able to get the tourists and ourselves out of the forest safely . The forest is a place full of such thrills . Where every day there is a new phenomenon. Surprised every day,' is Sudiksha's experience.

Meghauli in the western part of the district is a tourist area next to Chitwan Park. The country's first Jungle Lodge Tiger Tops Hotel was opened 60 years ago before the park was established in the Meghauli Adkai jungle. At present, tribal Kumal community lives in Meghauli Jitpur village in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-28. Like Sudiksha here, Prabhav Kumal has also embraced the nature guide profession of taking tourists to the park .

"Seeing my sister Sudiksha from the neighborhood, I got into this profession," said Prabha. Prabha has also started working at Barahi Jungle Lodge. She has been in this profession for a year . 

She told her wish to mother Bhimamaya . There was no criticism from the mother . She also told Baba Som Bahadur that she plans to become a nature guide like Sudiksha. Som Bahadur happily sent for training. Now the family is shocked to see that Prabha is attracting tourists. There was a very old Tiger Tops Hotel here, but it was closed later. Even now there are other good hotels in Meghauli . But like mine and Sudiksha's family, there are many people who do not engage in tourism and do farming. Farmer parents will be happy when their children take up tourism, said Prabha.

Manesh Kumar Limbu, president of Meghauli Nature Guide Association, said that there are 114 members in the organization. But in this entire decline, there are only five women nature guides in Meghauli . Elina Chaudhary has been working at Barahi Jungle Lodge since Sudiksha started working. Elina has also received the 'Naturalist of the Year Award-2024'.

India's Tough Tiger has been giving this award to nature guides working in high-end resorts. "Receiving such awards shows that there are few, but women nature guides are proficient in their work," said Limbu, president of Ghatgai Meghauli Nature Guide Association. Along with Elina, Sudiksha and Prabha, Sakina Chaudhary also works as a nature guide in Barahi. 

Although Prabha and Sudiksha Meghauli are from Jitpur, Elina is from Nawalparasi . Alina's father DB Chaudhary is a veteran nature guide. Elina followed Baba's footsteps. Sakina is also not from Meghauli but from Kathar Bargaon, the eastern part of Chitwan. She went to Barahi Jungle Lodge for internship after doing DHM (Diploma in Hotel Management) for 18 months in hotel management after class 12. While living in Barahi, she was impressed by the work of Elina and Sudiksha. After that, he also wanted to take training as a nature guide. After completing the training, she has been working as a nature guide for a year. 

Another classy tourist hotel in Meghauli is the Meghauli Serai Taj Safari . Which includes nature guide, Swastika Mahato . Swastika also became a nature guide after being influenced by Elina and Sudiksha. Swastika Barahi of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-22 Patihani was working in foot and beverage service at Jungle Lodge. After seeing two young women in the same hotel embracing nature guide profession, she changed the field and took nature guide training . She has been working in Taj Safari after training. In this way, more women are getting into this profession by being influenced by women.

There are many nature guides in Chitwan, the country's first destination for wildlife tourism. But there are very few women in this profession. According to Anil Gurung, president of Chitwan Nature Guide Association, there are 464 trained nature guides serving Sauraha area. But President Gurung says that there are not even 10/12 women.
