Mama's prediction finally came true. At that time, Asmita entered the finals of Nepal Idol season-2. The organizers had arranged for the finalists to visit their homes and villages. Along with the judges, Asmita reached her village and maternal home in Jhapa. Standing proudly in front of her uncle, she said, 'The prediction made by you has been fulfilled. Your niece has really become a singer.' She still remembers the happy look in her uncle's eyes at that emotional moment.  Even though her uncle had predicted, her daughter's singing was recognized by her mother. 

Asmita used to study in nursery school. They were staying at Phupoo's house in Damak at that time. Bhajankirtan was performed in the morning and evening. Asmita listened intently. She also hummed after hearing it. Asmita began to like her own voice. One day the mother Menukadevi heard her daughter singing. 'Sing again, sing again,' the mother happily made Asmita repeat. That miraculous sound gave the mother great satisfaction. "After that, he made me sing in front of people," Asmita remembers. Even the teachers started noticing his voice while studying at school. Menukadevi was not ready to accept or tolerate this. Only the mother was hoping for the child whom everyone had hoped for. Suddenly the child came to his senses. Menukadevi suddenly forgot all the pains of life. Asmita narrates these things and says, "Mummy still tells this story - I didn't bring him up with small sorrows." Menukadevi was born in Bhojpur. At the age of 21, she was married to Umesh Adhikari from Jhapa. Menukadevi's father passed away at a young age.
