Old Gudri Bazaar located in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-9. There is a peepal tree nearby. To the south of the same tree is a small bamboo-covered cut, where it is written, Arun's tea shop.

Connoisseurs sit on the mats placed around the canopy of trees while sipping tea and gossiping about politics and current affairs. From Chief Ministers to Mayors, Arun's skills are connoisseurs of hand-boiled tea.

When Ram Vilas Sahni started a tea shop in the narrow lane of Gudri Bazar, his son Arun was not yet born. Arun is now 43 years old. For 45 years, tea has been boiling continuously in his shop in Biratnagar's historic Gudri Bazar.

After the death of Ram Vilas in 2053, Arun took over the tea shop . After the absence of a father, the responsibility of supporting the family fell on his shoulders, at the age of 14, he had to take care of the tea shop. "It was cheating to study, but life was spent in the shop," says Arun.

It took almost 30 years for Arun to take over his father's legacy. Customers come from far and wide to taste the tea. Sukmel is used along with milk, sugar and tea leaves, Arun also has his own style of cooking.

'Tea has a completely different taste,' says Tika Khatiwada from Biratnagar, 'People who have tasted the tea here once will want to come back again.'

Tea has been brewing in Gudri Bazar for 45 years Arun does not use gas to boil tea. Pumps use stoves . He has 2 stoves that are a decade and a half old and are still burning. "Especially because of boiling on the stove, the taste of the tea is different from the end", says Arun . He boils milk for 8 hours a day. He says that tea is made from continuously boiling milk, which makes the taste different.

It was also difficult to sell 5 liters of milk tea in the era of Ram Vilas . Now Arun consumes 50 liters of milk in tea daily. They charge 30 rupees per cup . "I don't care about the quality and taste of the tea I make", he says, "I give quality tea, I charge a good amount". Due to which there is a business of about 15 thousand rupees . About 4 and a half million transactions are done monthly, exceeding half a million annually. He has a family of eight. "The sale of tea is less in winter", says Arun, "why is it sold more in summer".
