On the occasion of Radio Kantipur's 28th anniversary, held at the Plaza in Pulchowk on Friday, Shah was honored with the award along with a cash prize of one lakh rupees.
Having crossed seven decades in age, Shah has accomplished numerous creative works. He is a successful actor, director, producer, lyricist, and story poet. With his latest film ‘Paran’ (2082), he also won the National Film Award for Best Actor.
He began his acting career in 2024 BS with the film ‘Parivartan’ directed by Hira Singh Khatri. He has delivered powerful performances in many films including Kusume Rumal, Prem Pinda, Nata Ragatko, Balidan, Dhukdhuki, Yo Mayako Sagar, Badalpari, Arjun, Siundoko Sindoor, Jivansathi, Gaunthali, Baksis ra Bacha Bandhan, Munamadan, Sano Sansar, 6 Ekan 6, Wada Number 6, Chhakka Panja 3, among many others.
Shah is currently busy with the post-production of his film ‘Kamala Miss’, which he directed. He has already directed films such as Seto Bagh, Basanti, Rajamati, Vasudev, Masan, and Pachhis Basanta. Many of his songs, including ‘Parkhi Basen Aula Bhani’ and ‘Aankhaima Kasai Ko Tasbir Basechha’, are popular.
Shah is also credited with the establishment of Nepal Television.
