Kantipur Radio has announced the nominations for the 8th Extreme Energy Radio Kantipur National Music Awards-2082, which will be organized on the occasion of its 28th anniversary.

The list of the best creators in the Nepali music sector has been announced for the award program to be organized at ‘The Plaza’ in Pulchowk on 26 Ashad.

This year, in the Best Lyricist category, Rajubabu Shrestha has been nominated for the song ‘Jharile Kaata’, Pratima Gurung for ‘Na Jyun Sake Na Marn’, Narayan Kumar Acharya for ‘Suntuk Malai Kasam’, Manoj Bhandari for ‘Antim Raat’ and Pushkar Pant for the song ‘Lakhau Lakh Patak’.

Similarly, Rajanraj Shivakoti from 'Jharile Kaata', Gaire Suresh from 'Bujhne Manche', Nhyu Bajracharya from 'Kasto Nasha', Reshma Pun from 'Mayaka Geet' and Kavindra Tamang from 'Saath Kalai Samm' have been nominated for the Best Music Composer award.

In the Best Playback Singer category, Rachna Rimal from 'Dhagole Bateko', Salina Bik from 'Kun Hawale', Sunita Thegim from 'Yuma Hazuri', Samiksha Adhikari from 'Natra Bhande Zindagi' and Jhuma Limbu from the song 'Kafle' have been nominated.

In the list of best playback singers, John Chamling Rai for 'Maya Garnu La', Sharad Humagain for 'Najdain Mahar', Sairaj Khati for 'Timro Malai Huni Man Cha', Ketan Chhetri for 'Dherai Bhayo' and Pushpan Pradhan for 'Kaagajka Khata' have been selected .

In the category of best female singer in modern music, Reshma Pun for 'Mayaka Geet', Sanja Chaulagain for 'Kasto Nasha', Rachana Rimal for 'Aama', Banika Pradhan for 'Juni Pani' and Smita Pradhan for 'Halka Halka' will compete . 

In the Best Modern Singer category, Pravin Bedwal from 'Sunnukul Malai Kasam', Shiva Pariyar from 'Timi Arkaiko Bhaidiyun', Rajesh Payal Rai from 'Harek Raat', Swarup Raj Acharya from 'Aama Ke Kere Tirau' and Suman Kumar Shrestha from 'Jharile Kata' have been nominated.

Similarly, in the Best Female Singer category in Folk Music, Shantarani Pariyar from 'Pokhara Prithvi Chowk', Jyoti Magar from 'Jhayappai', Shantishree Pariyar from 'Manang Kotaima', Tika Pun from 'Lalitai Baler Heryo Mayale' and Devi Gharti Magar from 'Yani Maya' have been nominated.

In the folk singer category, Arjun Sapkota will compete for 'Jhaliko', Prakash Dutraj for 'Chain Ra Maya', Basant Thapa for 'Yani Maya', Raju Pariyar for 'Sani Nakhaya' and Subash Khatri for 'Shirma Shirbandi'.
