The Bollywood actor is set to marry for the third time. He is set to marry 48-year-old Gauri Spratt from Bengaluru on July 5. Aamir has been dating Gauri for the past two years. On his 60th birthday on March 14 last year, Aamir introduced Gauri as his 'partner'.
Gauri, the mother of his seven-year-old son, has been known by Aamir for 25 years. Gauri's grandfather, Philip Spratt, who was born in Britain, came to India in 1920. He had a communist background and later participated in the Indian independence movement. Gauri, who runs a chain of salons in Bengaluru, is now associated with Aamir's production banner.
'I feel stable in my relationship with Gauri' Aamir, who has been going through a volatile family relationship, recently said, 'Gauri and I are very serious and committed to each other. We were connected from the very beginning, even before we formalized the marriage, we already felt that this would be a long journey for each other as a couple.'
Aamir was first married to Reena Dutt in 1986. The couple, who divorced in 2002, have a son, Junaid, and a daughter, Ira. He then married Kiran Rao for the second time in 2005. They also have a son, Azad, from this relationship. In July 2021, the two announced their separation. Even after the divorce, Aamir has maintained a good relationship with both Reena and Kiran as friends.
It is said that Aamir and Gauri's wedding will be held in a modest manner at Aamir's house, without any fuss among limited members of both families.
